Jules is used to her parent's plans going a bit wrong.

When her mother, unexpectedly pregnant, injures herself on the day the bridge is blocked by an accident, so the van can't deliver food to the restaurant, the ambulance can't get through to mum, the food critic and the soap star are stuck the wrong side of the harbour and the fish lorry is stuck on the other wrong side then it's up to Jules to sort out the mess...

...and cook lunch.
